Company’s that don’t have access to an apprenticeship levy, providing your apprentice that is under 21 years old, there is no cost. If your apprentice is over 21, there is a 5% contribution. Company’s that do have access to an apprenticeship levy, whether your apprentice is under or over 21 years old, there is a 5% contribution.
If your business has hired an Apprentice since 6th April 2016, who is aged under 25 and is enrolled on an Apprenticeship, you can claim back your National Insurance Contributions for them.
