Starting an apprenticeship can certainly feel like a big step. Thankfully, for you, our dedicated recruitment team is here to make the process as smooth and clear as possible, ensuring you have all the information, advice, and guidance you need to succeed. This post will walk you through our apprentice recruitment process, so you know exactly how we support you when you choose to become an apprentice.

Connecting You to the Right Opportunity

Once you apply for an apprenticeship or join our talent pool, our recruitment team will reach out to you via phone, text, or email. We’ll gather some basic information, as well as your consent to use your data, and we’ll arrange a convenient time for a call to get to know you better.

During this call, we’ll discuss important aspects like your current situation, educational background, and any work or voluntary experience you may have. This helps us understand your career aspirations and ensures the apprenticeship aligns with your goals. We’ll also check eligibility requirements like Maths and English qualifications and the soft skills employers look for in candidates.

We also provide extra support for those who want to enhance their employability, such as CV creation tips, interview guidance, and upskilling through online courses.

Understanding the Role and Employer

Once we confirm that you meet the initial requirements, we’ll dive into details about specific job roles you’re interested in. We’ll talk about workplace culture, the perks of the job, progression opportunities, and even practicalities like commuting to and from your potential place of work. Our goal is to help you picture what life will be like as an apprentice with that employer.

If you’re happy to interview for the roles available and eligible to proceed, we’ll explain the next steps, including your upcoming interview. We’ll coordinate with the employer to schedule the interview and ensure you have all the necessary details, such as who you’ll be meeting and what to expect. The day before the interview, we’ll check in to confirm you’re prepared and ready to shine.

Final Steps Before Onboarding

If you ace the interview, congratulations! We’ll work on your behalf to finalise your start date with the employer and ensure all necessary checks are done, like employment contracts and right-to-work documentation. After that, we’ll guide you through the onboarding process with EMA Training. This includes setting up your induction and connecting you with our support team.

Ongoing Support: Information, Guidance, and Growth

Our support doesn’t stop once you’re onboarded. During your apprenticeship, you’ll have access to one-on-one mentoring, health and well-being sessions, guest speakers, and classroom learning.

With that being said, it’s important to note that everyone’s journey is different. If your current qualifications don’t meet the requirements for a specific role, we’ll match you to other opportunities that suit your experience and career goals. We also have a referral network to help with qualifications, additional learning support (ALS), and specialist services if needed.

Compliance and Communication

When dealing with sensitive data mentioned within this process, it’s absolutely essential that we adhere to all legal and regulatory standards to protect your data and ensure equal opportunities. Throughout the process, our team maintains open communication with you, answering any questions and making sure you feel supported.

Your Career, Our Priority

As an Apprenticeship Training Provider, we are dedicated to helping you succeed as an apprentice. From initial contact to onboarding and beyond, we are with you every step of the way. No matter which course you’re looking to get started on, our comprehensive support ensures you’re set up for success.
