Accounts Assistant Apprentice

Ready to launch your career in finance? Based in Nottingham, Tennants a manufacturer and distributor of automotive & traffic management products is looking for an apprentice who is enthusiastic and keen to join the team! Study for your Level 3 AAT qualification with EMA and complete duties supporting the finance team.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop with a supportive team to guide you through your studies whilst working closely with your manager who will mentor you with the aim to progress within our company. Duties will include:

  • To assist in processing of purchase and sales invoices as well as payments.
  • Accurately maintain confidential company information and records.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the efficient operations of the business.
  • Support in credit control and setting up credit insurance.
  • Support in petty cash and banking
  • Support in daily bank & credit card reconciliations.
  • Support to keep accurate stock movements, stocktake and valuations.
  • Support in weekly payroll.
  • Support in providing accurate information for product costs and pricing
  • Processing transactions on systems such as Sage 200, Excel and Customer Relation Management Systems
  • Providing support to other members of the team including Finance Director.
  • Administration duties required by the department along with any other ad hoc duties.
